In our vineyards, we are constantly seeking the most efficient way to provide the vines with everything they need.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grapevines grow, among other things, thanks to a molecule present in the atmosphere: nitrogen. To ensure that this beautiful plant properly absorbs nitrogen, we rely on special helpers called cover crops.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We sow certain plant species known as nitrogen-fixing plants between our vine rows.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Their role? Like little magicians, they transform atmospheric nitrogen into a form that the vine can assimilate. Once this magic is complete, these cover crops are mown to return the stored nitrogen back to the soil.<\/p>\n

These cover crops enrich our soils, prevent erosion, and retain essential nutrients (trace elements and minerals) needed for the healthy growth of our vines.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to their organic contributions, they naturally suppress weeds. Over time, 100% of our vineyard soils will no longer require herbicides.<\/p>\n

Each year, at the beginning of autumn, we sow clover, alfalfa, peas, oats, vetch, and rye in our vineyards<\/strong>. That\u2019s why, during a stroll through the vineyard, it\u2019s not uncommon to see rows of vines blooming with vibrant colors and flowers!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
